The following is a profile of each winner:
 
1Ali Institute of Education (Pakistan)
 Non- profit organization was established in 1992 for teacher education. It is working on improving the professional capabilities of the teachers in Pakistan through the Training and Resource Centers (TARCs). From 1997 to date, in-service education and training has been provided to about 12,000 teachers (87% female).
 
2Center of Excellence for Teacher Training (Dominican Republic)
 The mission of the center is to achieve excellence in the development of the process for teaching reading and writing to children in the first four grades of public schools through interventions directed toward their teachers. Through the present time it has trained about 3400 teachers and directors.
  
3Centre Congolais Education Pour Tous (Democratic Republic of the Congo)
 It is a school for training teachers and executives in the nursery, primary and secondary education. Its mission is to train or recycle teachers, their boss and to integrate everyone who is in need. The program aims at training teachers and supporting them. The number of trained teacher increased from about 1000 to more than 12000.
 
Amount of the Prize:
 
The value of the Prize shall be US $270,000, divided between three winners. The value of each Prize worth US $90,000, which shall be provided in kind or in the form of educational and academic services to the winning institutions.
