The 'UNESCO-Hamdan Bin Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers', set up in 2009 and funded by this Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, aims to support, encourage and benefit those working to enhance the performance and effectiveness of teachers towards Education for all. It Attaches particular importance to outstanding practices in developing country contexts or those aimed at marginalized and disadvantages communities. It also aims to facilitate the global sharing and dissemination of outstanding practices regarding teachers. |

Hamdan bin Rashid Honors Distinguished Academic Performance Award Winners His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, honored the winners of the Twelfth Round of the Distinguished Academic Performance at the local and regional levels. His Highness affirmed that the Award has grown and developed and has gone beyond the local, the Gulf and the Arab world boundaries into a global level, and has contributed to the achievement of the objectives of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Culture Organization (UNESCO).

Hamdan Award Participates in the UNESCO Teachers’ Day Festivities with a Paper on its Initiative to Promote Excellence in Teaching Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance participated in the World Teachers Day (WTD) festivities held in Paris by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) under the slogan "Recovery Begins with Teachers" and contributed a paper on the "Hamdan Award Initiatives to Promote Excellence in Teaching."
Dr. Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, Member of the Board of Trustees and representative of the Hamdan-UNESCO Prize, headed the Award delegation to Paris. The delegation consisted of Khawla Ahmed Bahlooq, Director of the Educational Excellence Department, and Maryam Juma Al-Shehhi, Head of the Competitions Section, Department of Educational Excellence. |
